For Indigenous Peoples Day & Go Skateboarding Day, we wanted to give you a preview of our ongoing OSF INDIG SK8 x Kinngarni Katujjiqatigiit collective collab with youth in Kinngait, Nunavut. These skateboards were hand-made and marbled by OSF students in a process taught to us by Alexa and Flora while we were doing in-person learning. After the transition to remote learning, paper cut-outs were sent from Kinngait youth to be stencilled on to the boards by OSF student Brat Skateboards . We look forward to continuing to learn together and to exhibit this collaboration with our friends in the north in the near future!
