Friends and OSF Community,
Just
wanted to make sure you are aware of some upcoming OSF dates and the events
that we are participating in (see attached posters):
- You
are invited to the 10 year celebration party of the alt9 alternative schools
art show "Alternative Tentacle 10" Friday, May 22 from 7 to 9PM at
Xpace Cultural Centre (303 Landsdowne).
- Watch
our social media for photos of "OSF infests NYC" during the first
week of June. Students will be doing a skateboard installation at Anomaly NYC
in Soho, an art installation at Stoked in Brooklyn, producing some original
street decks with artist/designer Kevin Lyons, as well as visiting local skate
shops and enjoying the art and culture of NYC!
- Hope
to see you at our end of school year community BBQ, art show and sale hosted at
Roarockit Skateboard Company (880 Millwood) on June 12, 6 to 8PM. "Boards
& BBQ 6" will also celebrate student success with student awards given
at the graduation/leaving ceremony portion of the event, and the event will
conclude with an award presentation to the OSF program from Eva's Initiative.
