Oasis Skateboard Factory Class of 2020!
The Oasis Skateboard Factory (OSF) is an award-winning TDSB alternative high school program where students earn credits by building and selling skateboards and running a small design business.
An integral part of the OSF program includes an opportunity to work with the creative agency Anomaly. The partnership includes Mentorship Program for each student, as well as a Learning Series aimed to help the students develop entrepreneurial and brand-building skills so they can successfully market their artwork and gain insight into creative industries.
Working in collaboration with students, designers at Anomaly created a series of “Reflections 2020” skateboards and apparel that feature the remixed photographs and words of OSF’s class of 2020. The result is a beautiful set of images that reflect the lived experiences of our talented group of youth.
We would like to congratulate our graduate class of 2020. These students pushed through a very unusual school year to earn their high school diplomas at the world’s only skateboard high school. We’re so excited to see these young designers continue to share their creativity with the world! Thank you to Sovereign State for hosting this window display at 827 Dundas St. W. !
